There is not one type of person who is called to Priesthood or Religious Life. Perhaps you sense this calling, but are filled with uncertainty.
What does it mean to be called? What does it feel like? Why me?
These are questions that can leave you feeling confused, conflicted and alone. They are also the starting points for the process of discernment—prayerfully pondering the different paths you can take. While the decision is yours alone, you are not alone in this process. Remember, your happiness and fulfillment in life will come from following God's plan for you.
God is always with you, always at work in your life, directing and guiding you. Your job is to be open to His direction and guidance. As you move through the process of discernment, you move towards making a decision.
